The sheriff is the first contact for local jail custody and custodian-held booking material. The circuit clerk handles eligible court-file questions after a case is filed. Use these routes according to the record sought:
- For a booking record or photo request, start with the home page request path, then contact the sheriff’s custodian.
- For a person reportedly arrested today, compare Arrests Last 24 Hours with the arresting agency and jail contact.
- For several days of Patrol reports, use the Police Blotter. It is not a complete county roster.
- For custody or release alerts, use the VINELink Custody Check and confirm uncertain results with the jail.
- For an eligible criminal court file, use Missouri Case.net and the Macon County Circuit Clerk.
- For a sentenced state offender, use the Missouri Department of Corrections Offender Search. For federal or immigration custody, use the official BOP or ICE locator.
